Inp.polri.go.id - Palangka Raya. The West Kotawaringin Sub-regional Police in Central Kalimantan has arrested four assailants who attacked the Pangkalan Banteng Police Office in West Kotawaringin regency. 

The four suspects were under the influence of alcohol and launched an attack on the Pangkalan Banteng Police Office by driving a pickup truck," said West Kotawaringin Police Chief Superintendent Yusfandi Usman in Pangkalan Bun on Saturday (4/5/2024).

The incident unfolded early Friday morning. Despite attempting to harm an officer with a machete, they were promptly arrested by on-duty officers before causing harm. 

Security measures have been bolstered in the area, and authorities urge the public to remain calm and refrain from unlawful behavior, Chief Yusfandi said. 

He maintained that strict legal action will be taken against offenders and that the police’s  collaborative efforts with local administration has been done to strengthen social conflict resolution initiatives for a safer environment.
