Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps reported increased traffic towards tourist spots on Thursday (9/5/2024), or the first day of the long weekend. 

However, the Traffic Corps assured it remained manageable.

"We've seen more traffic at train stations, airports, terminals, and toll roads, but it's under control," said Brigadier General Slamet Santoso, the Traffic Corp’s Director of Traffic Law Enforcement.

Popular destinations include Puncak, Bogor; Lembang, Bandung; Yogyakarta; Malang Raya, East Java; and Bali.

Regional police have deployed personnel for security, and traffic management is in place to ensure smooth travel.

"Our priority is ensuring tourists feel safe and comfortable," Chief Slamet said.
