Based on the current information that has been gathered, she was subjected to acts of torture such as being doused with chili water until she was told to sleep on the floor naked. The tragic incident experienced by her occurred at a house in Duren Sawit, Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta. Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, said that the investigators were continuing to investigate this alleged torture case. ''Currently the investigators are completing the administrative investigation related to the alleged abuse case experienced by RNA. After this, the investigators will summon the victim to gather further information," said the Head of Public Relations in his statement, Friday (10/28/22). The Head of Public Relations added that the victim was currently being treated at the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD). The police investigation report will be carried out at the hospital, but according to the doctor who treated him, RNA cannot be questioned for the time being because she still needs to rest. "Yesterday we can’t visit and ask her some questions and the doctor told that she needs rest for at least three days," explained the Head of Public Relations, quoted from the Republika. It was reported that RNA was abused by her employers while working. She then went and told what she had experienced to the Presidential Staff Office in Jakarta, Tuesday (25/10/22). The victim came accompanied by his uncle, Ceceng, and activists from the National Network for Domestic Workers Advocacy (Jala PRT), and was welcomed directly by the Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko. To Moeldoko, RNA admitted that she was abused by her employer physically and mentally, such as beatings, being doused with chili water, to verbal violence such as threats. She adds that she also did not get full rights for the work she had done. The employer's initial agreement with RNA was that she would be paid Rp1.8 million per month. But in fact, for six months of work, she only earned Rp2.7 million or only Rp450 thousand per month. The amount of salary that she got this far is said because her salary was always being deducted by the employer every time she makes a mistake.
