Inp. polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Identification Unit of the Jayapura Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigated the crime scene of the shooting of a Trigana Air at Sentani International Airport in Papua.

The crime scene investigation covered the examination of passenger seats number 7 C and 8 D on the aircraft floor located close to seat number 7 C.

"The examination also included the lower fuselage of the aircraft and the front of the aircraft compartment," said Head of Papua Police Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ary Prabowo in a statement on Monday (3/13/23).

He said that the passengers, some of whom suffered minor scratches, were sent home safely after the incident.

The Trigana Air PK YSC B 373-500 aircraft was previously shot at by unidentified persons during landing and take-off at Nop Goliat Dekai Airport in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountain Province.

The authorities have arrested seven people and confiscated many pieces of evidence in the case.
