Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.Six persons, including both social media celebrities and e-sports athletes, have been implicated in a marijuana abuse case by the South Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police.

Deputy Head of Narcotics Unit at the South Jakarta Police, Senior Inspector Rezka Anugras, explained on Tuesday (23/4/2024)  that he suspects—AT (24), MC (22), CK (20), AMO (22), BB (25), and HJ (27) —were arrested at a hotel in Karet Kuningan Urban Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta, on Monday night  around 11 pm.

Among the seized items was an electric cigarette containing liquid marijuana, according to antaranews.com.

Urine tests confirmed positive results for marijuana in AT, MJ, CK, and AMO, while HJ and BB tested positive for methamphetamine or crystal meth. 

The suspects face charges under Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, with a maximum prison sentence of four years.
