inp.polri.go.id - Makassar. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror Prevention Team held an outreach to the students of SMAN 19 Makassar on Friday (1/9/2026). Approximately 500 students attended the seminar, aiming to boost their national insight and foster a spirit of patriotism among the students.

"It is important to instill national insight, strengthen their Pancasila ideology, and be vigilant against the spread of the dangers of Intolerance, Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism (IRET) ideology among students," said Police Senior Inspector Gaguk Hery Wibowo, Head of the Densus 88 Anti-Terror Prevention Team.

During this activity, the speaker also explained terrorist networks to the students, also on how IRET ideology spreads, examples of terrorism cases, and potential vulnerabilities to its spread among students.

"We hope that similar activities can continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis in various schools in South Sulawesi Province to strengthen ideological resilience among the younger generation," said Gaguk Hery Wibowo.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of shared commitment to maintaining the spirit of nationalism and strengthening our national character.
