inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police remains on alert even though most of the floodwaters in Jakarta have been receded.

The alert level is still being maintained in light of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG)'s prediction of potential extreme weather this week.

"Our Search and Rescue (SAR) team remains on alert for extreme weather in Jakarta, as the BMKG predicts that Jakarta has the potential to experience extreme weather over the next week," said the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Wednesday (7/9/2025).

On the other hand, the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto stated that his team is paying special attention to flood-affected areas. He has instructed his staff to continue patrolling the SAR zones as a further precautionary measure.

"Until now, personnel are still carrying out intensive rescue efforts at the location, given the high rainfall that continues to delay the area," explained Henik.

He stated that this activity is a clear demonstration of Mobile Brigade's dedication to carrying out humanitarian duties. His party, he continued, also ensures that public safety is a top priority during emergencies.
