inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have revealed the chronology of the murder of a female notary named Sidang Alatas (60), whose body was found in the Citarum River in Kedungwaringin, Bekasi. The incident began when the victim left with suspects A alias W and AWK on Monday (6/30/2025) at around 2:00 am.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Wira Satya Triputra, explained that around 12:00 pm, AWK, the victim's former driver, contacted the victim and asked to meet at Bojong Gede Station. The victim, A, and AWK then drove around the area until 11:00 pm.
After going around the city, the three of them then headed to Bogor Station to return A and AWK to their rented house in Cibitung. However, when they arrived at the station, they missed the last train to Cibitung.
"Sidang then took A and AWK to her notary office in the Bojong Gede area at 4:00 am. On the way, suspect A took out scissors and stabbed Sidang in the right chest," he explained on Tuesday (7/8/2025).
At the time, he said, suspect A was sitting in the back seat. The victim was sitting in the front on the left.
"He stabbed her from behind in the right chest. The stab to the victim's right chest didn't cause immediate death," he said.
Suspect A then strangled the victim for about 15 minutes until she finally died. Afterward, the victim was moved to the back seat, and the two suspects took her to the house of H, also known as R's, in the Cikarang area of Bekasi.
The two suspects then asked H for help disposing of the victim's body. They then decided to dump the victim's body in the Citarum River in Bekasi.
The team then arrested suspects A, AWK, and H at a boarding house in Central Java on Friday (7/4/2025).
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing the murder solely to seize the victim's four-wheeled vehicle and other assets.
"For their actions, the suspects are being charged under Article 340 of the Indonesian Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338, and/or Article 365, and/or Article 480," he said.
