inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police are matching the license plate data of Ministry of Defense vehicles following the discovery of a Porsche Cayenne with license plate number 50212-00 at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta on Wednesday (1/28/2026).
The check showed the license plate was registered to the Ministry of Defense Secretariat General, but it did not match the vehicle found.
"Well, based on the testimony of witnesses, the data was falsified, so it doesn't match the registration number listed on the documents or the license plate," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, in a statement on Friday (1/30/2026).
Police then confiscated a Porsche Cayenne and found a driver's license in the name of RNN. Initial investigations revealed the vehicle was using an old license plate belonging to RNN's deceased parents, which had been subsequently renewed.
He stated that RNN's deceased parents were not Ministry of Defense employees.
"So, the license plate was an old document belonging to the deceased parents, which was renewed. So far, based on the results of the investigation and inquiries, the person concerned is not an employee of the Ministry of Defense," he said.
