Police Thwarts Drug Trafficking at a Nightclub in Bali

inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. In his first two months serving as the Drug Criminal Investigation Director of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police, Senior Superintendent  Ardiyanto Tedjo Baskoro and team has thwarted a drug trafficking attempt in Denpasar.

The man with the initials of MF (38) was busted at a nightclub in Taman Pancing Barat street, Denpasar, on Sunday (3/23/2025) for attempting to sell drugs.

“We are able to rest the man thanks to the information from the public. Our team, led by Superintendent I Gusti Putu Suka Arsa, successfully arrested him in front of THM Delona Vista at around 02.20 am,” says the Head of NTT Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra.

From the search results, officers found three pills suspected to be ecstasy from the suspect's hands. In addition, officers also secured a mobile phone and a SIM card.

"Officers will continue to develop this case to uncover a larger drug trafficking network," explained Henry Novika Chandra.

In addition, the Director of NTT Drug Criminal Investigation unit says other than securing the suspect and evidence, officers have also examined four witnesses.

"We will also conduct a urine test on the suspect and send the evidence to the Bali Regional Police Forensic Laboratory for further examination," concluded Henry.
