inp.polri.go.id - East Kalimantan. The East Kalimantan Regional Police Academy Cyber Resilient Community (CRC) Program is developing a cross-sector collaboration to strengthen digital literacy and community resilience against cybercrime.

"The CRC program is designed to improve the community's ability to recognize, prevent, and respond to various forms of digital crime, including fraud and technology-based financial crimes," said the Head of the East Kalimantan Regional Police Academy Chief, Senior Superintendent Pepen Supena Wijaya.

He held audiences and gatherings with several stakeholders in East Kalimantan on Sunday (7/26/2026).

"The involvement of local governments, academics, regulators, and community leaders is crucial to ensure digital literacy is accepted by various community groups," he said.

Through this collaboration, the East Kalimantan Regional Police hopes to reach a wider audience, particularly those vulnerable to cybercrime.

Support from the local government and the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) is seen as strengthening efforts to increase public awareness of the risks of digital crime.

Both institutions believe that the CRC aligns with the needs of a society that is increasingly connected to digital services and requires stronger protection.

The collaboration with Mulawarman University and Balikpapan University is also expected to enrich educational materials through research, module development, and training relevant to technological developments. Meanwhile, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) is providing support related to digital transaction security and protection for the financial services sector.

Chief Pepen also emphasized that regional figures involved in the meeting play a crucial role in encouraging public participation. Their presence is expected to raise public awareness of the various evolving cybercrime methods.

"Because cybersecurity is now a shared responsibility. Synergy between the police, local governments, the education sector, regulators, and the community is fundamental to building cyber resilience," explained the Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Tedy Sopandi.

He hopes the CRC Program can become a model for strengthening community cyber resilience that can be implemented widely. He believes that increasing digital literacy will strengthen the community's ability to prevent various forms of cybercrime and maintain a safe and productive digital space.
