inp.polri.go.id - Kudus. Kudus Sub-regional Police is contributing to the education and development of the younger generation by establishing a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or Free Nutritional Meal Kitchen (MBG), with a construction target of completion by the end of September 2025.
"Currently, the construction process is 25 percent complete. We hope to complete it by the end of September 2025 and obtain an operating permit from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), so it can immediately operate and supply nutritious meals to students," said Kudus Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Heru Dwi Purnomo, as reported by Antaranews, Sunday (7/20/2025).
When construction progress reaches 90 percent, his team will report to the BGN for verification. They are also awaiting the provision of a kitchen manager, a team of nutritionists, and an accountant.
He added that there will also be training for workers, covering food and equipment hygiene, as well as firefighting.
He stated that the MBG kitchen will be built on land in the Rendeng Police Dormitory Complex in Kudus City District. This location is considered strategic to supply nutritious meals, as there are no nearby kitchens in the city.
The facility will serve as a support center for educational activities managed by the Kudus Branch of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation.
The SPPG will be built on a 400-square-meter plot of land, with the kitchen and supporting facilities totaling 390 square meters.
The SPPG is designed to serve the nutritional needs of approximately 4,000 students from various educational levels under the auspices of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation. This includes 50 kindergarten students, 479 elementary school students, and 3,423 junior high school students.
