inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto believes that cooperation between ASEAN member countries, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and China can make the regional economy grow faster.

The President explained that the economic growth of Southeast Asian countries is currently the fastest.

"We must ensure that ASEAN is relevant and therefore, we welcome deeper partnerships. For example, ASEAN-GCC and ASEAN-GCC-China cooperation. We are confident that tomorrow will provide real results in this regard. Our economic growth is the fastest," said President Prabowo while speaking at the plenary session of the 46th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Monday (5/26/2025), as quoted from Antaranews.
 
The President explained that Asia is projected to have a greater influence in the world in this century.

Therefore, Prabowo, in front of the leaders of other ASEAN countries, invited not to underestimate the power of the region, especially with the joining of Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea as full members.

Prabowo also invited member countries to work hard, so that ASEAN remains relevant, strong, cohesive and adaptive than before

"Make ASEAN rise stronger, braver, and more relevant than before," concluded the President ending his speech.
