"Perhaps if you were working abroad, you might also get a much higher salary, but despite that, you continue to serve our country. On behalf of the nation and state, we express our deepest gratitude to you," said President Prabowo, Tuesday (8/26/2025).

President Prabowo acknowledged that several countries, including Indonesia, still face challenges due to a shortage of doctors, specialists, and paramedics.

According to President Prabowo's records, Indonesia has a shortage of 70,000 specialist doctors. In one year, Indonesia only produces 12,000 general practitioners, with only 2,700 specialist doctors per year.

Therefore, President Prabowo called for catching up by providing the best health services for the Indonesian people.

According to President Prabowo, health and education are part of welfare, where this welfare is the rights of all Indonesian people, including those classified as poor, even those living in remote areas.

"Education and health are the manifestation of true democracy. A country that is successful in democracy (is) a country that can provide the best education and the best health services," said President Prabowo.
