inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, emphasized the importance of preparing Indonesia's human resources (HR) as the country opens up to international markets.
Minister Yassierli stated that HR is key to Indonesia becoming not only a market but also a leading producer.
"The opening of international markets must be balanced with the readiness of a globally competitive workforce. Therefore, increasing productivity is not an option, but a necessity," the Minister stated on Tuesday (8/5/2025).
He stated that the readiness of Indonesia's superior and robust human resources is essential to meeting the ambitious vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, which his ministry will implement by strengthening vocational training centers as centers of innovation and creativity for the younger generation.
"Furthermore, increasing cross-sector synergy through the Enterprising Indonesia program is also a priority. Competent human resources and increased productivity are key to compete on the global stage," the Minister stated.
In addition, Yassierli also emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships between the government and the business world in facing future workforce challenges.
He noted that businesses play a central role in boosting national productivity.
The Ministry of Manpower is currently preparing a series of programs to support this, ranging from competency training, preparing productivity experts, to a performance measurement system for the industrial sector.
