Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo awarded the first Golden Visa to Indonesia's national football coach, Shin Tae-yong, during the Grand Launching of the Golden Visa in Jakarta on Thursday (25/7/2024).

The ceremony, attended by Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Immigration Director General Silmy Karim, marked the official introduction of the Golden Visa program, according to antaranews.com..

President Jokowi explained that the Golden Visa aims to attract global talent to Indonesia, enhancing the nation's development. He emphasized the importance of selecting foreign nationals who will bring significant benefits to the country.

The Golden Visa, an upgraded version of the Second Home Visa, targets international investors, global talents, and tourists meeting specific criteria. It allows foreign investors to stay in Indonesia for five to ten years, with investment requirements starting from $ 350,000 for a five-year visa, or $ 2.5 million for longer stays.
