Inp.polri.go.id - New York. President Prabowo Subianto condemned the ongoing military genocide in Gaza, which has killed tens of thousands, predominantly women and children, and reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.

“We condemn all forms of violence against innocent civilians. Indonesia reiterates its commitment to a two-state solution for Palestine. This is the path to peace,” he said during the High-Level Conference on Palestine at the United Nations headquarters on Monday (22/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

President Prabowo called on UN member states to formally recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign nation, describing such recognition as essential for lasting peace. 

He also emphasized Indonesia’s stance that it would recognize Israel only after Israel acknowledges Palestine’s sovereignty. 

The president cited the New York Declaration adopted on September 12, 2025, which supports ceasefire, humanitarian aid access, and reconstruction of Gaza under international monitoring.
