Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Agriculture has credited close collaboration with the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), and local authorities for raising farmers’ income and strengthening national food security.
The agricultural producer price index, known as NTP, reached 123 percent in August, surpassing the 110 percent target set by the Ministry of Finance, as reported by antaranews.com.
“The INP, TNI, prosecutors, thank you. Farmers’ welfare has improved. Our target was 110 percent NTP, and we achieved 123 percent. This is very encouraging,” Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said on Monday (22/9/2025) after a coordination meeting with Interior Minister Tito Karnavian and regional leaders.
The ministry also works with TNI to monitor rice procurement at the government’s purchase price of Rp 6,500 per kilogram, and with the INP to ensure subsidized fertilizer reaches farmers without diversion. Programs like downstream processing, superior seeds, and financing further strengthen agriculture, create jobs, and stabilize farmers’ livelihoods.
