Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto announced plans to deploy Special Presidential Envoys to oversee State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) as a strategic measure to strengthen the management of national assets.
During the first anniversary of the sovereign wealth fund Danantara on Wednesday (11/3/2026), the President emphasized that rigorous oversight of "red-plate" companies is essential to prevent the leakage of state wealth, which he described as the "lifeblood of the Indonesian nation."
"I have appointed special presidential envoys, and I may eventually assign them to every BUMN we manage to ensure strict supervision, as continued leaks would jeopardize our national stability," President Prabowo said, as cited by antaranews.com. He reminded officials at the Wisma Danantara event that even the wealthiest nations have seen their sovereign wealth funds fail due to poor management and a lack of transparency.
To ensure Danantara operates as a secure sovereign wealth fund, the President has established a multi-layered oversight framework involving Coordinating Ministers, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), and the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Furthermore, he explicitly called upon the Attorney General’s Office, the Indonesian National Police (INP), and the Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander to actively monitor these institutions.
