Inp.polri.go.id - Magelang. President Prabowo Subianto told regional leaders that they are elected to serve the people.

Speaking at a retreat dinner at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday (28/2/2025), Prheabowo emphasized the retreat’s main purpose of fostering cooperation among regional leaders.

“You are now state officials—mayors, deputy mayors, regents, governors. The people chose you. You are servants and leaders of the people,” the president said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He highlighted Indonesia’s diversity but stressed unity as a single nation. He also underscored Indonesia’s tradition of resolving differences through dialogue and consensus.

Notable attendees of the dinner included former Presidents Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo, as well as top legislative leaders and cabinet members.
