inp.polri.go.id - The National Police's Propam Division has adopted a training program for police officers involved in drug abuse.
The coaching program was first implemented by the Riau Police under the leadership of the Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc.
This rehabilitation program was carried out by sending 136 members, who were involved in drug abuse, to the Mobile Brigade Police Corps.
"This coaching program is part of our concern to members who have some problems," said the Head of the National Police's Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday (16/5/2022).
The Head of the Propam Division conveyed that the purpose of this program is to train skills and self-control of the members involved, so that can return to be a productive personnel who will give their best to the families, communities, and institutions.
A total of 136 members began to attend the training at the Mobile Brigade Corps last Thursday (12/5/2022). It is hoped that these activities can rehabilitate the personnel and made them not to repeat their violations.
The Head of the Propam Division emphasized that if there are still officers who are involved in drug abuse or other violations after participating the program, they will be given strict sanctions up to dismissal.
"If they are still using drugs, they will immediately be banned without honor," he said.
