This dispensation policy means the expired driving license applicants do not need to make a new driving license and simply go through the regular driving license extension mechanism. The procedures on applying for a new driving license are including theoretical and practical examination. The driving license extension scheme does not require both examinations. Here are the terms for people who want to apply for extending the expired driving license: 1. People with driving licenses expired between August 23-30, 2021, could apply for an extension from August 31 to September 7, 2021, with the regular extension scheme. 2. People not extending the driving license on the said date would be subjected to a new driving license application scheme. Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police has announced several announcements. The old terms are as follows: 1. People with driving licenses that expired between July 3 to August 23, 2021, could apply for an extension from August 24 to 31, 2021, with the regular extension scheme. 2. People not extending the driving license on the said date would be subjected to a new driving license application scheme. Another preceding announcement is as follows: 1. People with driving licenses that expired between July 3 to August 2, 2021, could apply for an extension from August 3 to 7, 2021, with the regular extension scheme. 2. People not extending the driving license on the said date would be subjected to a new driving license application scheme. The fee for the driving license extension has been regulated in Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia No. 60 of 2016 about Types and Tariffs on Types of Non-Tax State Revenue Applicable to the Indonesian National Police.
