inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar expressed his concern over the incident where worship services were broken up at a Christian prayer house in Padang, West Sumatra.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring similar incidents do not recur in the future through various preventative measures.

"I will send our team to Padang. I hope this is the last such incident in Indonesia. This kind of obsession, misunderstandings, and so on, must be stopped," said the Minister of Religious Affairs on Wednesday (7/30/2025).

He stated that he had coordinated with the West Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and would soon send a team to respond directly to the situation on the ground.

The Minister of Religious Affairs also revealed that a similar case that had previously occurred in West Java had been successfully handled.

"We have communicated with the Regional Office, and we will send our team there to find the best solution. I heard that it has been handled by our colleagues and the authorities," said the Minister of Religious Affairs.

As part of a long-term strategy, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is introducing the Love Curriculum to be implemented in educational settings. This initiative aims to build a culture of mutual understanding and reduce prejudice between community groups.

"The Ministry of Religious Affairs has its own philosophy; if this kind of incident continues, it's likely to happen again. Therefore, we, as Minister of Religious Affairs, are seeking a different approach by introducing the Love Curriculum," explained the Minister of Religious Affairs.

The Love Curriculum will fundamentally be implemented to eliminate all forms of suspicion and misunderstanding between people.
