inp.polri.go.id – The General Election Commission (KPU) of East Kalimantan province held meetings with the East Kalimantan Regional Police in Balikpapan on Wednesday. The goal is that the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous general election can run safely and smoothly. The KPU's visit to the East Kalimantan Police was directly welcomed by the East Kalimantan Police Chief, Inspector General Drs. Imam Sugianto, M.Sc., Deputy Chief of East Kalimantan Police, Brigadier General dr. Hariyanto, Sp.PD., Director of Security Intelligence, Police Commissioner Dedy Kusuma Bakti, S.I.K., and other personnel of East Kalimantan Police. The chairman of the East Kalimantan KPU, Rudiansyah, conveyed that the meeting was to support the implementation of the general election stages to be able to run smoothly and safely. For the visit, the East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief welcomed and appreciated their intention. “We the East Kalimantan Police are ready to guard and secure the election until the end so that East Kalimantan remains safe and conducive," said the Two-Star General. On that occasion, the Chairperson of the East Kalimantan KPU also conveyed various things related to political developments in East Kalimantan ahead of the 2024 General Election.
