inp.polri.go.id - It is sad to see a girl, RP, who is not even 2 years old, has to lost both of her parents because of a car crash in the Pancoran area, South Jakarta, last May 25. Raka Prayoga Putra and Nova Kharisma, the father and mother of RP, were the two victims who died due to the reckless actions of the Pajero driver who was unable to control his vehicle and crashed into 7 motorbikes and a taxi in front of Menara Saidah, South Jakarta. The girl managed to survive that horrible crashe although she had to get several stitches on her head. Reckless driving on the streets often cost innocent people their lives. As what happened to RP, she often calls her parents who had already passed away. The passing of her parents now leaves a question as to how RP's life will continue, including who will pay for her education later. According to a communication expert, Rahmat Edi Irawan, a deterrent effect is needed so that cases like this don't go unnoticed. "There must be a deterrent effect with criminal penalties and social compensation that must be given to perpetrators who are reckless in traffic, at the same time to protect the victims," he explained.
