Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf has called on the public, particularly enthusiasts of Rolls-Royce and other luxury goods, to participate in an upcoming auction of unclaimed prize assets stored at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The proceeds will be redirected to support community needs.
“We aim to hold the auction early this year. The Ministry of Finance will manage the auction process, including valuation by the government’s official appraisal agency,” he said during a meeting at the Ministry in Jakarta on Thursday (2/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com..
The auction will include luxury items such as Rolls-Royce cars, other vehicles, Vespa scooters, luxury bags, and more. Minister Saifullah emphasized transparency, ensuring the process is open to all interested parties.
Funds raised will be allocated to essential infrastructure projects, such as clean water systems and other community-focused initiatives.
The assets, valued at approximately Rp18 billion, include cars, motorcycles, bicycles, Louis Vuitton bags, gold, and electronics. These items were originally prizes from sweepstakes but remained unclaimed, making them subject to Ministry regulation under Minister of Social Affairs Regulation No. 3/2024.
