Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir is considering changing the status of Perum ANTARA news agency, Perum Peruri, a state-owned enterprise that prints banknotes, passports, stamps, and other documents, and Perum Damri land transportation company, from public corporations (Perum) to limited liability companies (PT).
“We are discussing the future of Peruri, Damri, and ANTARA. These are all under review,” he said on Friday (14/3/2025).
Minister Erick noted that ANTARA, Indonesia’s news agency, is a financially healthy state-owned enterprise, making it a candidate for transformation into a PT. Unlike Perum, which is fully state-owned without shares, a PT can have its capital divided into shares.
The discussion emerged following the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2025, which allows the ministry to accelerate mergers, closures, and business model changes for state-owned enterprises.
