Solving Prominent Cases, 40 Personnel of Jayapura Police Received an Award

inp.polri.go.id – Jayapura. In giving his appreciation, Jayapura City Police Chief (Kapolresta), Commissioner Gustav R. Urbinas, S.H., S.I.K., M.Pd., handed over the award to his personnel at the Mapolresta field, Saturday (30/4) morning. The award ceremony was led directly Kapolresta Jayapura and attended by all high officials as well as the Sectoral Police Chief. The award was given to Criminal Investigation Unit and Narcotics Investigation Unit which have been considered outstanding in uncovering prominent cases. The award was given based on the Decree of Kapolresta Jayapura City Number: KEP / XCIV / 2022 regarding the Awarding of Police Personnel within the Jayapura City Police to 40 personnel, 29 from the Criminal Investigation Unit, 10 from the Narcotics Investigation Unit and one personnel from the Water Police of Jayapura City Police. In his remarks, the Jayapura City Police Chief said that the award was an appreciation for the achievements of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Narcotics Investigation Unit and Water Police Unit who have succeeded and worked hard in uncovering several prominent cases that occurred recently in the jurisdiction of the Jayapura City Police. "The cases that were solved included the murder of a police as well as other murder, theft and violence cases, along with the rape of a middle-aged woman on the Temiri Nafri-Koya Koso bridge, while the Narcotics Unit managed to uncover cases of 21.98 kg of marijuana, 200 grams of methamphetamine and 200 grams of methamphetamine smuggling and also the crime of health ownership of 860 Trihexyphenidyl items in the jurisdiction of the Jayapura City Police," he said. Furthermore, the Jayapura City Police Chief said, "This award is intended to be a motivation, especially for Jayapura City Police personnel to be more active and brave in carrying out Police duties to handle a criminal case. There are no perfect crimes, therefore as members of the Police we are must be observant and smart in seeing a problem so that all criminal cases can be revealed,” he said He also expressed his deepest gratitude for the active role of personnel in carrying out the duties of the Police, and it is hoped that this will not make them satisfied with what has been achieved so far, because in the future the challenges will be even more difficult
