Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Kuta Police Office confirmed on Thursday (31/7/2025) that two foreign men who allegedly robbed a money changer in Tuban, Bali, used fake identities to deceive their victims.
The suspects, identified as Evgeniy Victorovich Pak (34) from Uzbekistan and Taccoddin Fazil Oglu Tajaddin Hajiyep (34) from Azerbaijan, targeted a money exchange business on Sunday, robbing over Rp 191 million.
“They deliberately targeted local money changers. Using passports as ID during transactions, they tricked staff into handing over large sums,” said Kuta Police Chief Senior Inspector Agus Riwayanto Diputra during a press briefing in Denpasar, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Suspect Hajiyep used a forged Polish passport under the name Boriz Anzej Musielak, while suspect Victorovich claimed to be an Interpol officer. Immigration confirmed Suspect Hajiyep’s stay permit had expired while suspect Victorovich’s stay permit remained valid until August.
Both suspects previously committed a similar crime in Canggu, causing a loss of Rp 170 million. They are now in custody at Denpasar Sub-regional Police headquarters.
