The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police on Thursday (11/12/2025) named the CEO of PT Terra Drone Indonesia, identified as MW, as a suspect in the fatal shop-house fire in Kemayoran that killed 22 people on 9 December 2025, after investigators confirmed they had secured two legally sufficient pieces of evidence. 

“We detained the CEO last night based on two initial pieces of evidence and the investigators’ confidence,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Superintendent Roby Heri Saputra, as quoted by antaranews.com

He explained that witness statements, documents, and additional material found at the scene met the legal threshold to establish Terra Drone Indonesia CEO, identified as MW, as a suspect. 

Police have charged him under Articles 187, 188, and 359 of the Criminal Code, and Law on Work Safety, covering intentional or negligent acts that lead to fire and fatalities. The offences carry a potential prison term of five to twelve years. All 22 victims have been identified by the Bhayangkara Hospital.
