Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia is believed to play a huge role in decision making and water governance policies for the global interest. The 10th World Water Forum, held from 18th to 25th of May in Bali has become the momentum to ensure that the world is united in securing water resources sustainability.

The statement was stressed by the Vice Secretary of the 10th World Water Forum National Committee, Endra S. Atmawidjaja on Wednesday (4/24/2024). in Jakarta.

“From the beginning, in every forum Indonesia is consistent in pushing water issues to be discussed in higher levels. The issue must be pushed stronger by the related authorities,” said Endra.

Indonesia carried out three special missions to be agreed in Bali. The three missions are Center of Excellence on Water and Climate Resilience, Mainstream Integrated Water Management in Small Islands, and World Lake Days.

“This matter is important to be discussed as the lake has become a source of raw materials, energy and even flood control," he said.

The 10th World Water Forum has three main processes, which are political, regional, and thematic where the three of them will involve related stakeholders including head of states, ministries, regional head, scholars, researchers, and youths. They gathered to exchange opinions and ideas in the related discussion.
