inp.polri.go.id - The Ministry of Law and Human Rights was asked to tighten the licensing for the establishment of Savings and Loans Cooperatives (KSP). This step is to suppress illegal online loan companies by using KSP legal entities. Masyrifah, Superintendent of Associate Expert Cooperatives at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, said that the Directorate General of General Legal Administration (AHU) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights should tighten the permit for KSPs. The reason is that currently there are many KSP legal entities that run illegal lending businesses. "Because now all permits are fully from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and there are things that needs to be fixed there," she explained. Of the 32 complaints against KSP who run an illegal loan business, 9 of them are legal entities. They are KSP Harpendiknas Tangerang, KSP Sukses Inti Terdepan Indonesia, KSP Sumber Utomo Karimun Abadi, KSP Bintang Sejahtera Nusantara, KSP Dana Senja, KSP Orion Terapan Ergonomis, KSP Usaha Orion Era Dinamis, KSP Pulau Bidadari Indonesia, and KSP Indocitra Sejahtera. "Meanwhile, the others are fake. Most of them have addresses just because they only rent the offices, while there’s no one inside the office, no administrators and no one can be contacted," she explained. Therefore, Masyrifah invited the Director General of AHU of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to strengthen the coordination with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in issuing permits for the establishment of KSPs. This is aimed at anticipating the circulation of KSPs who run illegal lending businesses. "They should have check first whether granting the permit is feasible or not," she said.
