For those who want to make an international Driving Permit (SIM), especially for Indonesian citizens who are abroad, they can extend the validity period of an International SIM through online services by accessing siminternasional.korlantas.polri.go.id. Head of Sub-Directorate of Driver’s License Registration and Identification, Police Commissioner Trijulianto Djati Utomo explained the advances in information technology made an International Driving License (SIM) can be processed through the Precision Online SIM or SINAR application by following the required steps. "So for the applicants, especially Indonesian citizens abroad, just upload what is required in the online application, then the driver’s license will be sent directly to the applicant's house. So, there is no need to come and wait. We aim to make things easier in managing International SIMs for the community,"said Police Commissioner Trijulianto Djati Utomo. Furthermore, he said that this was an innovation from the National Police Traffic Corps. "To make things easier, people does not need to come directly to make or extend the International Driver’s License," he explained.
