The Head of Sub-Directorate of Certain Crimes (Tipidter)of Ditreskrimsus Polda Sulsel, AKBP Arisandi, gave a statement regarding the determination of the suspect. According to him, the determination of the suspect was announced after an open case, on Tuesday (31/5/22) yesterday. "We just had an open case and determine the suspect of the alleged crime of shipping based on the Police Report Number: LP/A/173/V/2022/SPKT.Ditreskrimsus/ Polda Sulsel, 30 May 2022," explained AKBP Arisandi, Wednesday (1/6). /22). He said that in this case, his party named two suspects. Each of them is Supriadi as the ship captain of KM Ladang Pertiwi 02 and Syaiful as the owner of the ship. Suspect S is charged with Article 323 of Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping. The suspect has also been detained at the Dittahti Penitentiary. "Meanwhile, Syaiful is being charged with Article 310 of Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping. The suspect was not detained because the sentence was under 5 years," he explained further. According to Arisandi, the determination was made because they violated the formulation of article 323, which states that the captain who sailed without a Sailing Approval issued by the harbormaster as referred to in Article 219 paragraph (1) will be imprisoned for a maximum of 5 years and a fine of a maximum of Rp600,000,000. "Then Article 310, every person who employs a Crew without fulfilling the qualifications and competencies as referred to in Article 135 will be sentenced to a maximum of 2 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp300,000,000," he said.
