inp.polri.go.id – The Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Ditipidkor) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police (Polri) confiscated assets worth Rp 700 billion related to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of flats in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Director of Dittipidkor (Dirtipidkor) of Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo conveyed that the confiscation of these assets was an effort by the Police to restore state finances due to corruption. "So, if we look at this case, this is a state financial loss of around Rp650 billion, but we are doing asset recovery of around Rp700 billion," he explained during a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/6/22). As for the seized assets, Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo revealed that the assets were belong to the two suspects, the former Head of the Housing and Settlement Division of the DKI Jakarta Housing and Building Service, Sukmana and Rudy Hartono Iskandar as a private party. Dirtipidkor said there were allegations of corruption in the corporate system. "There are facts that we find that the proceeds of crime are in the corporate system, where this corporation is controlled by the person concerned," he explained. Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo added that his party is currently hunting for the alleged suspect's assets that they hid in abroad. To explore this, the Police have also coordinated with the relevant state authorities. "We are still investigating the assets that they hid abroad. We will update the case furthermore in the futuer, because it involves several countries," explained Dirtipidkor. Based on Police Report Number LP/656/VI/2016/Bareskrim, dated June 27, 2016 the Police have named two suspects in this case. The suspect is suspected of being involved in corruption in the procurement of 4.69 hectares of land in Cengkareng for the construction of flats by the DKI Jakarta Housing and Regional Government Buildings Office (DPGP) for the 2015 fiscal year when the Governor of DKI was Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) alias Ahok.
