inp.polri.go.id - Director of Law Enforcement of the National Police Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan directly opened the e-Turjawali analysis and evaluation (ANEV) meeting using the e-Turjawali application.
“This application is really helpful. First it ease our operation in the field when there is a report of accident or criminal actions. This applications is also makes able to know the positions of our personnel, which makes us able to deploy them to the location much faster,” explained the Director.
Not only for the personnel, the application is also helpful for the people, such as the feature of “panic button”. The button would signal the closest personnel to immediately came to help that person. Such feature is useful to prevent many criminal actions, including kidnapping.
“With the speed of report from the base to us, we could immediately inform our personnel through the app, and provide them with the necessary information regarding the kidnap, such as the vehicle used and etc, thus the personnel in the field could block the road and immediately secured them,” said the Director.
The e-Turjawali itself have been exist since 2019 with the total use of more than 1,000 devices across Indonesia. “Through e-Turjawali, equipped with video calls, we could immediatelly know the situation in the field and also the position of the personnel. So, this application of e-Turjawali is very helpful in our effort in servicing the community and controlling our personnel in the field. Hopefully in the future, this app could be integrated with the GPS of people’s vehicle and other applications,” said Brigadier General Aan Suhanan.
On that occassion, the Director also stated that currently they are developing the Big Data for Law Enforcement Directorate of Traffic Corps. The Big Data will be integrated with the apps of the Directorate.
Furthermore, the Brigadier General of Aan Suhanan announced the Decade of Actions from UN. One of the violations that should be the concen is the driver under the influence of alcohol. According to the data of the Traffic Corps, more than 600 accidents were caused by the drunken driver,
“Therefore, we should intensify the security and the safety of the drivers, especially motorcyclist. Because 80% of the accidents are occured with the motorcyclists. We should intensify our socialization of safety driving,” said the Director.
