inp.polri.go.id - The West Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumbar), Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Putra, S.H., S.I.K., did admit that they had detected Khilafatul Muslimin in their region. The authorities reported that these Religious Organization has already spread around West Sumatra. He stated that his party has done a persuasive approach towards the followers of Khilafatul Muslimin in West Sumatra. This is necessary so there would be no more provocative activity in the region. "And thankfully, this group is cooperative and follows our order. This is kind of different from other provinces. I have done this persuasive steps to them so they would not do anything provocative like any other regions," said Kapolda Sumbar. The Two-Star General stated that he would not hesitate to act firmly if Khilafatul Muslimin members started to do anything provocative in West Sumatra. "If they did, I might apply much firmer law than other Regional Polices," stressed Kapolda Sumbar. When asked about the numbers of followers of Khilafatul Muslimin in West Sumatra, he did not give enough details, but he did told that it is centered in Padang City. "I don't know the detailed data. However, one of the group is centered in Padang City," explained Kapolda Sumbar.
