inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) deploys thousands of personnel to secure the protest against the TNI Bill in front of the Indonesian House of Representative building.
“The number of personnel we dispatch are approximately 5,021,” says the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro on Thursday (3/20/2025).
Susatyo says that in securing this protest, personnel are scattered into several points. The security personnel consist of personnel from the police, military, and the Jakarta Provincial Government.
“The deployed personnel are not equipped with firearms and will approach the situation at the location as humanely as possible,” says Susatyo.
He appeals to the protesters to voice their concern without provoking the others. Orators are expected to convey their opinions politely, not provoke other masses, not damage public facilities, and still respect other road users who are doing activities.
For traffic engineering itself, he said that it is situational in nature, adjusting to conditions in the field.
