Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the arrest of three Indonesians in Malaysia for allegedly torturing another fellow Indonesian.
“Coordination with the Royal Malaysia Police) shows that six suspects have been detained for investigation, including three Indonesians and three Malaysian ID holders,” said Judha Nugraha, the Director of Indonesian Citizen Protection at the Ministry, Thursday (16/10/2025). “Initial investigation indicates the main perpetrators are Indonesians.”
The victim, identified as DAK, who suffered abuse on 7 October2025, received immediate medical attention in Kuala Lumpur with assistance from local residents.
“The victim is now recovering, able to communicate well, and walk without aid,” Judha added, as reported by antaranews.com
The Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur is coordinating with authorities, the hospital, and providing legal support. The Ministry urges all Indonesians abroad to respect local laws and avoid actions that violate host country regulations.
