Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) will continue training its soldiers in cybersecurity while exploring the recruitment of civilian experts to strengthen national defense, said TNI Head of Information Center Major General Hariyanto on Monday (3/2/2025).
“TNI is committed to enhancing its cyber capabilities through education, training, and special assignments,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
As warfare increasingly shifts to cyberspace, TNI recognizes the need to adapt.
To strengthen its cyber defenses, TNI is considering enlisting IT, cybersecurity, and AI specialists from the civilian sector.
“Bringing in civilian experts will enhance national security with specialized skills,” Commander Hariyanto explained.
TNI is finalizing plans to form dedicated cyber units across its military branches while reinforcing training for its personnel. However, details on the number of recruits and the selection process remain undisclosed.
