Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation is set to host the 2025 Tour of Kemala cycling competition in Yogyakarta on 15 and 16 February 2025, aiming to scout and nurture new cycling talents in Indonesia.

“This event not only serves as a competition but also aims to discover future athletes through the criterium class,” said Martha Dedi Prasetyo, the Chairperson of the event committee, on Saturday (11/1/2025).

The Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation is a philanthropic organization linked to Bhayangkari, the social group for the wives of Indonesian National Police (INP) officers

The competition will feature three categories: a 123 km race for professional athletes, a 55 km tour for cycling enthusiasts, and a 2.28 km criterium for fast-paced, short-distance racing.

In addition to sports, the event will also highlight cultural, tourism, and economic aspects by promoting local micro, small, and medium enterprises in the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions. There will be booths and live music performances to create a festive atmosphere.

Chairperson Martha emphasized Yogyakarta’s cultural heritage and the friendly environment as key factors in choosing it as the event's location.
