Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has urged state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and strategic project managers to stop partnering with trucking companies that violate vehicle size and load regulations.
“Using over-dimension and over-loading trucks isn’t just an administrative violation — it directly endangers drivers, other road users, and accelerates infrastructure damage,” said Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho on Tuesday (3/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He called on SOEs to set an example in transport compliance and instructed regional traffic heads to audit logistics partners. Korlantas also plans education drives in industrial areas and will facilitate agreements between police and project managers to ensure fleet compliance.
The program includes promoting digital logbooks, GPS-based real-time load monitoring, and driver training in road safety and cargo ethics.
“We don’t oppose economic activity. We oppose practices that put lives at risk,” Chief Agus emphasized.
