Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps officers escorted hundreds of motorcyclists through the Jakarta–Cikampek toll road on Monday (12/1/2026) after flooding submerged key arterial roads in Bekasi, West Java to ensure commuters could safely reach their destinations .
“The escort was conducted from Taruma Jaya Toll Gate in Bekasi to Semper Toll Gate in North Jakarta due to flooded arterial roads,” said Head of Cikampek Highway Police, Senior Inspector. Sandy Titah Nugraha, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The operation involved Traffic Corps officers and Bekasi Sub-regional Police officers, who guided motorcycles along the toll road side under strict supervision. The measure was implemented in two stages due to long vehicle queues.
Police said many commuters were stranded while heading to work early in the morning. Heavy rain since dawn triggered flooding in several areas, including North Jakarta’s Sunter Jaya, Plumpang–Semper, and Cilincing–Marunda corridors.
