inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police stated that two police reports have been received regarding the alleged Crypto Academy investment fraud. Both reports are currently under investigation.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the reports had just been received and still needed to be processed by investigators. 

Investigators must clarify matters with the complainant, examine witnesses, and thoroughly examine the evidence.

"Regarding clarification from the complainant, including witnesses and evidence, this must be processed first, before summonses can be issued," he explained to reporters on Tuesday (1/20/2026).

According to Budi, the summons for the accused will only be made after investigators have obtained sufficient data and facts. 

Currently, investigators are still adjusting the application of criminal articles following the enactment of the new Criminal Code, so synchronization with the prosecutor's office is necessary.

"Therefore, this legal process must proceed systematically with our colleagues at the Prosecutor's Office," he said.
