Inp.polri.go.id - Medan.   The Medan District Court sentenced on Tuesday (10/6/2025)  two men to death for trafficking 29 kilograms of methamphetamine and 39,000 ecstasy pills.

Presiding Judge Cipto Hosari Parsaoran Nababan declared the defendants, identified as , Muhammad Fauzi (31) and Kiki Rezeki Siregar (30), guilty of violating Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics.

“The defendants were proven to have conspired to sell, purchase, and act as intermediaries in the distribution of more than 5 grams of narcotics in non-plant form,” said Judge Cipto, as quoted by antaranews.com

The court found no mitigating circumstances, stating that both men — residents of Medan and Tanjung Balai — had acted in direct opposition to the government’s anti-narcotics agenda.

The verdict was in line with the demands of the Belawan Prosecutor’s Office that had previously requested the death penalty for both defendants.

Both the defendants and the prosecution team seven days to respond, either by accepting the verdict or filing an appeal.
