inp.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. An expert in constitutional law at Gajah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta Andi Sandi appreciated the 100-day program of the Indonesian National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, especially in the traffic sector. "The police chief's breakthrough in fixing excellent public service efforts in the traffic sector with the digitization system is exact," Sandi explained in a written statement in Jakarta. Several digitization programs, such as applying the electronic ticketing system (ETLE) in law enforcement, online driver's license, and digital security in the field of vehicle registration and identification (resident). Sandi assessed that the program was one of the steps forward aimed at reducing collusion between officers and users of public services, particularly the community. Although not all of these policies have been implemented, according to Sandi, the public welcomes and appreciates the breakthrough. Sandi continued this digitization to simplify, speed up and streamline services, not replace or eliminate specific jobs or positions. With that in mind, of course, any digital system built must adapt, implement and simplify the process. Furthermore, digitization is systemic, not sectoral work. With the help of digitization, it is necessary to understand and skill the human resources who manage the system. The readiness of systems and human resources are the key to digitalization services. Resort Police's Traffic Corp has started digitizing services which are the task of this institution. Sandi gave an example of a driving license extension, an extension of the legitimacy of operating a vehicle and prosecuting traffic violations. All of these processes heavily depend on digital databases. Digitization cannot be independent of databases. "Initially, the database was recorded, maintained and used manually. Along with the times, recording, maintaining and utilizing it was assisted by an information system," Sandi added. Furthermore, Sandi said, because services through digital platforms did not eliminate manual patterns. The digital process is alternative or complementary to the benefit of resort police's duties. That way, no matter how well the digital system is built, if the man who manages it does not have the awareness, ability, and skills in utilizing or using it, digital databases are just data stored in a digital storage medium. With this momentum, the Resort Police's Traffic Corp should have made it a point of turnover; the assumption that the service at the Resort Police's Traffic Corp is slow, long-winded, manual, can be compromised so on. Bad imagery is not overcome with good imagery but countered with factual evidence in the field. Thus, the measure of the success of the Resort Police's Traffic Corp success in digitizing is not the numbers for accessing service applications. However, the standard of its success is that services are completed in a timely, efficient manner, satisfaction with services, accuracy in service, and most importantly, Resort Police is categorized as a state institution that provides services. , protection and law enforcement under statutory regulations. According to him, the success of the Resort Police's Traffic Corp in efforts to provide services to the community and prosecute legal violations, both internal and external, is a serious effort to improve. This, he continued, was the determination of the Chief of Indonesian National Police in describing the efforts to create comfort and optimal protection for the community. The Resort Police's Precision program can answer the community's needs related to safety and comfort.
