inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Human and Culture Development, Muhadjir Effendy says the unemployment rate in national scale is decreasing.

"According to the existing data, nationally it is decreasing," says Coordinating Minister Muhadjir at Jakarta Presidential Palace on Monday (8/5/2024).

Coordinating Minister Muhadjir says the increase of unemployment in one cities cannot be the catalyst that national unemployment was increasing.

"To handle the unemployment in big cities, it would require an empowerment to create job opportunities in the cities," said Coordinating Minjster Muhadjir.

Previously, the Deputy for Economy Sector of National Development Planning Ministry, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti says Indonesian work force are improving and could suppress national unemployment.

However, the proportion of informal work force is still dominating when what Indonesia needs for the near future is product improvement.
