inp.polri.go.id – There are many artists, celebrities that got caught in fraudulent investment cases. The police need to sort out which ones who got asked as affiliations and ones who don’t. The Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police (Polri) did not confiscated the money of Rossa's gig fee while filling an event in Bali at the end of December 2021. Based on the results of the examination and the evidence obtained by the investigators, it was concluded that there was no 'mens rea' or malicious intent in the incident of Rossa. Regarding this, the deputy chairman of the DPR, Dr. Ir. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, S.H., M.H., appreciated the Police for not confiscated of the honorarium of Rossa who sang at the DNA Pro trading robot company event. "We fully appreciate the Police on not taking Rossa's singing fee. And we implore to art workers to continue working as usual without worry," said the Vice Head of the DPR at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta. Dr. Ir. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, S.H., M.H., thought that the Police's did the right thing because what an artist like Rossa did was a professional job, filling an event with a contract and then getting paid. According to him, art workers who carry out these professional works must be protected by law. "Just like a person who commits a crime goes to the dentist, of course the doctor's money is not going to be confiscated. It's not like that," he said. In the end, he hopes that after this ruckus, this will not cause any art workers to be scared in doing their work. This is what the Police need to do, to sort out, which are the affiliates and endorsers who are actively marketing fake investments, and who does not.
