Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Narcotics Unit confiscated three kilograms of crystal meth, 13,557 ecstasy pills, and 75 packets of “happy water” from a drug syndicate operating between Jakarta and Medan.

“We confiscated three kilograms of meth packaged in green Chinese tea bags, 13,557 ecstasy pills weighing 5.4 kilograms, and 75 sachets of happy water weighing 1.7 kilograms,” said West Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit Chief Senior Inspector Vernal Armando on Thursday (23/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The suspects were arrested and the drugs were seized during a raid at Permata Setiabudi Residence, Medan Sunggal District, North Sumatra, on 15 August 2025.

According to Chief Vernal, the operation stemmed from an April arrest in West Jakarta that led police to a supplier near Kualanamu Airport, Medan. 

“The team followed the trail to Medan and uncovered an inter-provincial trafficking network,” he said.
