inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. In order to create a secure and order situation in the region, the West Papua Regional Police held a night patrol in an Intensified Operation on Sunday (6/22/2025) night.

The patrol was held simultaneously across the province and involved several work units from Uniformed Reguler Police Corps, General Criminal Investigation Directorate, Drug Criminal Investigation Directorate, and ranks of Sub-regional Police.

The focus of the patrol will be on vulnerable locations such as public centers, housing complexes, highways, and night venues.

West Papua Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo says that in his statement, the patrol demonstrates real police action in protecting the public and providing a sense of security and comfort.

Furthermore, he says that the patrol was to prevent street crimes, thuggery, drug use, and illegal racing. Police personnel also appealed to the public to keep an eye out for their personal belongings and suspicious activities in the area.

“We will continue to intensify this patrol as an anticipatory step against the security disturbance potentials. We are committed to maintain security for the comfort of all,” says Benny.

Additionally, Benny also invites people to maintain a conducive situation together by not easily getting provoked and reporting to the authorities if witnessing suspicious activities,” says Benny.
